Salina Wireless Connect
The wireless project is designed to provide the South Side of Syracuse with wireless technology. Syracuse University has partnered with SCC, Syracuse Metro Net, National Grid and Verizon on this project. Funded through a Kauffman Foundation grant, wireless Internet devices are being placed on lampposts and roofs of local buildings along a 5-6 block stretch of S. Salina St. to make wireless connectivity possible for South Side residents. Local entrepreneurs will be provided with high quality wireless internet connectivity at a low cost. This project will be operational by the end of the year, 2013.
